1 position: Emergency Preparedness Assistant
Period: October 16, 2006 to September 30, 2007
Emergency Preparedness Assistant shall receive a monthly gross salary of three hundred thirty-two US dollars (US$ 332.00). |

Programme Implementation
Programme Implementation
-
Provide support in the development of Information, Education and Campaign materials.
- Keep an inventory of AI related IEC materials being produced by CARE, UN Agencies, Royal Government of Cambodia, NGOs and other organizations.
- Keep track of CARE IEC materials being sent to CARE offices, communities, NGOs and other agencies.
- Coordinate and attend meetings and workshops with Local and International NGOs when delegated.
Training
- Support CARE in the development and conduct of training for CARE staff, partners and communities.
- Support capacity-building / training for staff, counterparts and communities on AI.
- Document training related activities.

Logistics
Coordinate with CARE Admin-Finance department to:
- Identify requirements and establish and maintain all logistical infrastructures for administration and operations.
- Identify and analyze procurement and transport requirements including those of collaborating agencies and host counterparts as appropriate.
- Take responsibility for movement of all goods and equipment including coordinate with Warehouse Manager, Procurement Manager and Distribution staff to ensure efficient and timely delivery of relief commodities.

Work closely with the Security Officer to ensure security of logistics infrastructure including selection, training and management of security staff and delegation of responsibilities for locking and material releases.
- Establish funding requirements for logistics sector. Work closely with Finance Manager to prepare logistics and programme support budget.
Administrative and Finance Support
Documentation and Translation
- Take minutes of meetings of CARE AI Task Force meetings, workshops and planning.
- Maintain AI filing system and ensure these are up-to-date and easily accessible and available to CARE AITF members.
- Maintains record of AI related activities.
- Translate documents from English to Khmer and vice-versa.
- Project data entry and translation of project documents.
- Maintains records of all travel.
- To keep track of day-to-day news on AI from newspapers and internet and pass on the relevant info to Emergency Preparedness Coordinator.
Answering and responding AI related communications
- Manages and updates AI contacts/phone directory.
- Maintains logbook for incoming and outgoing records of AI related inquiries, phone calls, emails and fax.
- Checks incoming e-mails and send to the right internal recipients across CARE.
- Provides information to all guest as asked by outsiders or visitors.
Administrative Assistance
- Prepares pouch and materials to be sent to partners and CARE offices.
- Assist Emergency Preparedness Coordinator in equipment and material procurement.
